Dear UAAC member.
Please note that Archbishop IJ Mureri has issued a directive (L10021/06/2021) on 28 June 2021 to suspend all church activities. This is in accordance with President Cyril Ramaphosa ‘s address which prohibited all gatherings as the country was elevated to Alert Level 4 of the national lock-down.
It is therefore imperative that as a church that subscribes to governing authorities, we all adhere to the directive and await further correspondence from the National Executive Committee on this matter which will mainly be guided by another presidential address. In the meantime, all our Sunday services should be conducted virtually, from branch to national level.
In circumstances where members need prayer and counseling services, such should be performed under strict adherence to Level 4 regulations as promulgated by CoGTA.
The Archbishop also requests that all members register for vaccination as per the government programme in relation to age groups. However, it is important that before vaccination, people ascertain that they do not have underlying health conditions that could compromise their health well-being as a result of vaccination.
He concludes by expressing heartfelt condolences to all families and institutions that lost loved ones. He implores all UAAC members to join him in prayer for GOD to heal our land.
Rugare.
