Archbishop IJ Mureri thanked all members for heeding his call to wait for 2 weeks after President Cyril Ramaphosa indicated that places of worship be opened to a a maximum of 50 people indoors and 100 outdoors. Subsequent to the President ‘s call, the Archbishop ordered that UAAC members extended closure by further 2 weeks until 15 August 2021 as the rate of infection was still high.
Members are reminded that conferences are still prohibited.
As a church which submits to governing authorities, the Archbishop ‘s office will issue further instructions in accordance with government announcements.
