The UAAC branch at the University of Venda celebrated the 2019 Autumn Graduation in style, thanks to the record number of graduates and unprecedented participation of the UAAC leadership comprising of National Executive Committee Chairperson, Rev Nelufhangani, Spokesperson, Rev Nenzhelele, Bishop Hlabangwana and Provincial Youth Chairperson, Mr Mutakalo Mathoma. These were accompanied by a legion of Blue and White clad young men and women who came in large numbers to celebrate the educational achievement of their peers and church mates.

In total over 19 Graduates who are members of the branch graduated in various fields of study during the week-long autumn graduation sessions from Monday 13 until 17 May 2019.  They studied in various fields such as Education, Law, Natural Sciences, Commerce, Humanities, Information Technology, to mention but a few.

The biggest applause went to Tshindane Londani who emerged as the Best Overall Student in the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and as such received the Vice Chancellor Award as the Best overall Student. Rakubu Innocent also received a Vice Chancellor Award for being the Best overall Student in Agricultural Sciences.

It was certainly a day to remember as Bishop Hlabangwana blessed the graduates and wished them well for the future, particularly as most of them intend to enter the labour market whilst some are poised to further their studies.

Some nostalgic attendees exclaimed that all credit must go to the late UAAC Leader, Archbishop Dr EMM Mureri who established the branch on 26 April 2013 and after blessing it declared that it will become a centre of excellence as all Apostolic churches’ members will worship the Almighty GOD every Sunday under the banner of the UAAC.

Rev Tate Madula, a UNIVEN Graduate who stood by the branch since inception could not hide his jubilation when delivering a sermon. He was joined by National Chairperson, Rev Nelufhangani, who paid homage to all the graduates and indicated that their success signifies that the church has a bright future as the youth are future leaders.

Much appreciation went to current branch Chairperson, Mr Dzivhuluwani Mugari and his committee whose organizational and leadership skills were conspicuous through the success of the function.

The function confirmed that the church really walks the talk as the leadership always encourage the youth to prioritize education, which culminated into high pass rate among UAAC members over the years. The annual JK Tshikombedze Awards as well as Career Exhibition sessions have also played a significant role in terms of encouraging the youth to aim for meritorious achievements in Grade 12.

The celebration surely left a mark in the minds of many as most UAAC youngsters in the audience were clearly impressed and admired the achievement of their church mates. They unanimously vowed to emulate their brothers and sisters who passed with distinctions and received Chancellor Awards.

Peace be unto all!!
